Do you need to use special oil in the 370Zs?

Not certain. What does your owner’s manual say?

You could at least say thanks or reply. Another my350Z.com waste of time added to my ignore list.

Does the 370Z manual recommend Nissan Ester oil like my G37 manual does?

If so, be very cautious. The UOAs I have seen on Nissan Ester are substandard when it comes to shedding wear metals. Very high led, iron and copper counts.

Further, Nissan Ester oil loses its viscosity and shears out of grade at meager OCIs - it's NOT meant for extended drain intervals.

After doing a ton of research, there are so many better oil choices for the VQ37 that you could not pay me to put Nissan Ester oil in my G37.

The fact that the dealer wants $12/qt for it???
