Default New HR Records!!!! New PB and Trap Speed!!!!

To start off, I'm not a big poster on the forum but do plenty of browsing here. Well I went back down to Cecil County Dragway in MD tonight for their first Wednesday street racing of the season. There was a small to medium sized crowd so I got a decent number of runs in. Actually 11 runs in total before they cut my night short and wouldn't let me run anymore because I do not have a helmet. Air temps were in the low 40s which seemed perfect for good times.

For the record my 07 is still 100% stock down to the tire. My TurboXS exhaust will be going on this weekend or next week sometime. I did get my slave cylinder recall done since the last track outing.

At my previous track visits, I have never did any sort of burnout or "tire cleaning" spinning. I recently watched VeeTec's video of his drag run with his 2 step burnout for us Base model guys. I really like his theory and decided to put it to use...resulted in many 2.0xx 60' times, much better than my previous best of 2.227 in my 13.465 run.

Anyway, I have a new PB for time and trap speed.

Fastest trap was 107.94 mph!!! Thats getting close to 108 mph territory.

Again, I'm still all stock. Car was running strong and I was finally getting my technique right. Launch rpms were in the 2500-3000 range.

13.150 @ 107.62 with a 2.026 60'

Car #327

Great job Pat!!!!!!!!!!

I'm positive someone will run a 12.9 stock, at least.

Not sure when I will get back to the track though.

Almost 108 mph, that's just crazy!

Well done... Veetec didn't you have a 105mph trap on your 13.1 pass?? Just wondering where the 2mph was from on his runs... more agressive launch better air? With a 1.9 60ft it does look like a 12.9 is within reach.... most impressive guys!

I like the staging pad preparation at Cecil County. The crew does a good job especially during competition on Sundays.

Regardless, damn good driving!

Cecil County Dragway is the best! Many records set at that track.

I trapped 105.7 on my 13.1 pass, but it was at a slower track.

I trapped over 107, back when I had clutch issues, and as a result, I only ran 13.2, launching easy. If I could have launched like I can now, I would have run a couple of tenths quicker.

Pat's trap is fast enough for a 12.9-13.0, with a 1.9 60'. You will probably see 108+ traps eventually, during great weather.
