:::please help:::
I'm stuck at the moment. I have an
03 Z
110k miles
eibach lowering springs
19"HPdesins
Plenum spacer
test pipes
nismo catback
osiris tune
...... I was looking for some extra umph under the hood and don't know where i need to go. my goal is something along the lines of 350 whp which means i would need about 80 ponies to go. i explored all the options and am stuck between feeding my baby the bottle(nos) or going turbo. both applications look as though i may need to build motor up. any suggestions? most cost effective? (poor college student) aaand anywhere in houston that someone can recommend to possibly build Z motor without charging me a kidney or so? also i'm thinking of just spraying a 75 shot on the stock block.... i'm torn...

Your car came with 287 at the crank, not the wheels. RWHP might be around 250 max with your mods, probably less. the only way you are going to get to 350 at the wheels is FI or NOS. Neither of which is recommended on an '03 with 110k on the clock unless you build the motor - and a "poor college student" cannot afford to do any of those things. Do it as a reward to yourself after you graduate and get a real job.

How many of these threads are we going to have?
"I'm poor, what are some cheap mods that can give me tons of power? I'm thinking twin turbo and NOS, anywhere I can get this for really cheap?"
Do some research, it's not that difficult. There is a search function at the top of the screen, use it.

wow i didn't know so many douches were on these forumns. i did do my research you d-bags. i was merely speaking aloud that someone may have an idea or give me some insight had they been in the same position as me. aaand to the doucher thats talking whp i dyno'd at 270. its easier to rip on someone online rather than to come to a collaborative thought that may actually help.

No need to get butt hurt... if you read thru the sarcasm (which should be expected as you've asked the same question 1000 other members ask on a monthly basis), you will find your answer... Let me make it more clear... as someone who has been in your exact same position, my advise is to stick with bolt ons and a good tune and lower your goals to around 260 WHP dynojet.
