Ever hear of a concept called "heat soak"? Depending on how hard you've run your Z, the VQ engine bay stays hot/warm for longer than an hour.

I stand corrected! Heat soak is what I intended to convey.

So since I've never owned the kinetex manifold does it stay cooler than a stock one?

/\/\ I think the cracks in the Kinetex let the heat escape faster than the stock manifold.

In the old days when tappet clearances had to be set when cold the workshop manual specified a 4 hour wait for the engine to cool down

We offer the Thermalnator gasket line to help with this issue.

http://www.sikky.com/product/vq35de-...lnator-gasket/

http://www.sikky.com/product/vq35de-...e-body-spacer/

We offer both the intake manifold and plenum gaskets for these engines to help keep the air intake temperatures down. While not the end all be all fix it does buffer some of the heat from transferring into the intake manifold. Keeping the air intake temperatures down overall and slowing the onset of the heat effecting the air charge.

PM for info. Jk lol

Yes, it holds up very well under boost. It's a pretty solid gasket which you will notice once you have it in your hands. It's built out of a very durable composite and with the wall thicknesses it has it should hold up to whatever you can throw at it
