1.Normal function of daily driving lights is never harmed or touched in any way.
2.The color led is a separate powered function unless you yourself want to connect it to parking lights or anything else.
3. Wireless remote is used so that no wires need to be run through the firewall, plus you can use your mirror home link function to control the leds as well. I have done it for mine and Dukes so far.
4. If you leave the led on while using your HID driving lights the HID does flood out most of the color, but you will see a hint of it at different angles of view.
YOU DO NOT USE THE LED COLOR TO DRIVE AT NIGHT!!!!!
I dont think i can get any clearer then that...ha ha!

sooo.... correct me if im wrong but the best part of the light to actually paint if you were going to paint black (seeing as how i am getting ready to paint) would just be the outside and the turn signal area correct? i already have HID highs (converted with ballasts) as well as the stock HID lows but i dont want my HIGHS to be affected.
the best method would seem to do it like the PPW mod with ONLY those certain areas. (?)

You know most of the light out put is probably in the operators opinions. Yes you loose some of the output in the 03's if you paint all the chrome with the original halogen light bulb as the highs, but with hid bulbs you probably won't notice a difference. All in all not painting the chrome area will increase your HID significance. In the long run its up to you what you like it to look like. Personally i RARELY used my Highs in the 03 style and same goes for the 08's as well.
Although i love the all black or painted look so far the mod that we did to Dukes lights is amazing in looks.

So i've been doing this for some time now and i always get an e-mail or PM asking me where do i install the light to make an 03 and on shine through so nicely.
****I am not responsible for any damage caused to your vehicle by following this set up*****
Well once you've take it all apart and split it all down to just the glass separated from the inner part Here is some pictures of where to install the led.
Now that small housing splits into 3 sections. 2 outer and one inner. The inner part is where i drilled 4 holes for the chip to be plugged into with its prongs and then i soldered the power and ground then JB welded it in place so it is able to withstand the HID's heat. Once the JB weld was hard i was able to move the wires about with out worrying about anything coming loose.
Let me know if this helped anyone?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????
