There is however a very SLIGHT diff, but Duke has informed me that while driving it's not even noticeable, nor does it cross his mind.
Call me crazy but it looks like there is a noticeable difference in light output.

indeed the camera picked that up well, but to the naked eye wasn't bad at all.

I want to redo it actually cause at the time of the vid the G was next to the Z with it's lights on as well. So i want to do it again with just the Z by itself to be 100 % about it.

The biggest difference is that instead of the light being all over the place it's more of a direct flush beam and smoother look as well.

There is no light output difference the only output difference is the turn signal and parking like output.

I haven't seen these lights in person but that video certainly proves my point that there is a noticeable difference.

Try it from more than 20 feet away, like 300 feet. Because at 75 mph, that's 110 feet per second, and what you can see in 330 feet is only 3 seconds ahead of you.

Brightness is inversely proportional to distance. The further away your are, the brighter you need your light to adequately illuminate objects that are further away. If we're optimistic and say you only have a 10-20% reduction in light output, its not as easy to see at 20 feet, its really obvious at longer distances.

Correct the highbeams also! Only on 03-05 models though 06+ there is no highbeam problems with output on blacked out lights

It really doesn't prove your point because, like Dr. Venture stated, the G35 was to the right of my car with his headlights on too. I think that may have made the passenger side appear brighter than it actually is.

Honestly, I gain absolutely nothing by saying that the light output is great if it actually sucked. The truth of the matter simply is that the light output may be less, but I have been unable to tell the difference yet. I have driven on all types of roads already, and have no issues what-so-ever. The difference in output is not noticeable at all - and I have always had perfect vision with no need for glasses or contacts. I think that the R8 Mod may make the driver's side brighter to a degree. As far as light distance goes, no issues with that either. Whether on a well-lighted road or a dark road, the light output from each light appears equal.

Oh, and the hi-beams work perfectly. When I flick them on and off, they appear to shine just as high, wide, and bright on each side. I tested them in several different areas. The most telling test was when I shined them against some of those large green overhead highway signs that were a couple hundred feet ahead (this was on a dark section of Industrial Road in Keasbey), and the output from both sides appeared exactly the same.

If they work just as good as normal then I guess I was wrong.

To be sure was correct, I had someone cover each headlight one by one to compare them. The headlight output is good. You are correct that the hi beam is reduced to a degree on the painted light.

Tinting as far as painting the leds to color match and just leave the bulb section show?

The decrease in light output would make me never do this on 03 headlights.

on 03-05 It's all how you paint it. If you paint the whole housing only light output you lose is the high beam and turn signal.

on 06+ you can paint everything without loosing output. Only time you will lose output is when you remove the clear lens that covers the turn signal when you paint the turn signal area BUT if you paint the turn signal area and leave the clear plastic piece you will not lose any there.
