Default Oh shoot...i did it...first time FI

About a couple months ago, i talked to sharif@forged about installing cams for my n/a set up...lol Figured....
Sharif recommand APS TT, but Install/tune price was out of my budget and i didn't even know what boost was at that time. ( Well..still don't know, never boost before. Just drove Evo/STI twice lol )
After i stayed FI forum all the time, search and read and watch on youtube....again and again...talked to many members thru PMs...Passed up many sweet deals on private classifield. Today finally ordered vortech kit thru paul @ advancedracetechnology.
I will install myself, after that I will take it to forged, to get tuned/install few other stuff.

Lol can i stay on FI forum now?

-JLee

EDIT: Install pictures are posted, hope these help who wants to install themself.

I think u should have went with the TN kit instead of the vortech. U wont be happy with it until u upgrade to at least the 2.87 pulley.

I would have went turbo if I wasnt in Kali (cops everywhere and not CARB legal).

That shop is bad for my bank account. Sometimes (actually, a lot of times) I get bored with my car, but every time I walk in to that shop, I'm reminded how awesome modifying my car is. But I digress...

Congrats and welcome to the dark side.

Congrats bro! You are going to love being F/I regardless of the kit. Sorry I couldn't get you a price sooner on that Vortech BTW!

Congrats man...it's good you already got the ACT clutch/flywheel...I was slip sliding away with the stock clutch whenever I tried to push the Vortech hard...

What pulley are you running?

Everytime I am in his car, it makes me want to buy turbos yesterday. You might not want your S/C anymore after being in Billy's car (j/k...kinda). Congrats on the purchase!

What pulley are you running?
I will be running 3.33 pulley or not running blower untill i get to forged. My clutch/flywheel still on break-in period..lol wanna revvvv!! And You were slip sliding away with clutch? you should look into bigger tires..but what do i know.

Nahh...I meant my clutch was slipping...after a while everytime I tried to rev it hard my clutch would slip...smelled like burnt clutch, thought my clutch was worn out...when i swapped out for the ACT setup, I found out I still had about 15k miles of clutch disc left...go figure...

Anyway, the moral of the story is...even though Vortechs aren't as torquey as turbos, they can still be hard for stock clutches to handle, particularly if you go down a pulley like I did...

BTW, if you want to upgrade to a 3.12 pulley, lemme know...I'm running a 2.87 right now...
