Default Upset about Kinetix HFCs

Well, the other day i pull out of my neighborhood and notice a strange noise. Pull up to a red light and roll my windows down. My damn car sounds like a 72 pinto. I go to the shop and put it on the rack, i have a hole in my driver side cat, right behind the weld for the hanger attachment. So, now it's going to cost me money to get this welded up. Granted, not much but, still cost me money. If i have them pulled off and sent back to be fixed, it will cost me more. I think it has to be pulled off to be fixed but, i'm not sure. I know some of you have had this problem. What did you do? Does Kinetix have a warranty to cover this?

Check with Kinetix. Their customer service is supposed to be very good. They may swap them out.

Good Luck

They do have a warranty. Almost a year and 11,000 miles on mine and they work just fine.

You serious?
That's great if they would do that.

absolutely. in fact, just email them a pic with an explanation, your proof of purchase and your addy, and they'll ship a set out tomorrow. that's what they did when mine cracked.
hell, if you were in san diego, i'd even help you install them. i love installing shzit.

i would not say that kinetix customer service was that great. My cats cracked as well, sent them an email, they said just go get it welded, and stop using the brace. Well no brace, and everything rattled. Put the brace back on, they cracked again. Can't wait to put my headers on, then the stock cats are going back on minus the secondaries.
