Tanabe Medalion Touring installed, with pics and clips
Recently I finally got around to choosing an exhaust system. I decided to go with the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust due to it's reported 93 decibel sound level. I was looking for something fairly quiet and tastefull, but with more sound and character than the stock exhaust. I am closing in on 30 so my ricer days are over I think. I think this one fits the bill nicely! I purchased both the y-pipe back exhaust, and the Tanabe y-pipe. I haven't yet installed the y-pipe though as the ramps I used to install the exhaust didn't give me enough room up front to access the y-pipe. I'll probably get to it in the next few weeks.
Install was straight forward and fitment is perfect. Quality appears to be top notch. One common problem with the stock exhaust is that the tips aren't level. The right tip usually sits higher than the left. I've also heard some other non-true dual exhaust have the same issue. No problem here with the Tanabe. Both tips are equal height and they both stick out the same amount. Sound is very satisfying. During cruise the exhaust isn't really any louder than stock, with the exception being around 2000 RPM when dipping into the gas a bit in the higher gears...there's a bit of deep resonance that is noticeable, but not objectionable. When getting on the gas the sound is just what I was looking for. Deep, smooth, and exotic sounding. Somewhat similar to the stock exhaust tone, but more aggressive. I really couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the comments on the exhaust and pics guys!
The camera is a Canon digital Rebel XT with a Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 lens.
The videos were taken with my old Panasonic FZ20 since SLRs don't do video

Finally someone to post what I wanted to hear. I too have an 07 Pike Peaks White Z and I'm looking into the Tanabe Hyper or Touring exhaust with the Tanabe y-pipe. Great write with pics and vids. I want it a little louder so I think I'm going to go with the Hyper.

Believe me, sound clips don't do this, or any exhaust, justice. All sound clips I've heard cut out the lower frequencies of the exhaust note. There is a depth the the Tanabe sound that is very exotic.
