2005 Nissan 350z idol issue
Hello. I am aware of threads with similar problems, but I could not find any solution to my exact problem based off of others threads so I wanted to start my own and see if someone can provide some insight to my issue.
I have a 2005 Nissan 350z ATM with approximately 144k miles on it right now.
The parts added to the car over the years are listed here:
Lower plenum
pop charger
art pipes
motordyne tdx-v2 exhaust
Custom tune done from a computer linked to car via a wire
Dyno to make sure everything is tuned to run efficiently with these aftermarket parts
So now the problem I am having...
I noticed the other day that my oil pressure was low based off of the gauge on my car, but the oil light was not on so I did not think it was something that needed to be done right away. The morning after I noticed that my car was a quart or two low, I promptly bought more oil and put it into my car so that no damage would be caused and give me enough time to get a proper oil change done, but what I am unsure of is if I was to late.
When I started up the car after putting in the oil (for the first time in the morning, about 37 degrees outside, cold start) it warmed up fine and dandy. As I left my drive way and proceeded to head to work, I noted that as I would come to a full stop my RMP's would dip unusually low... lower than normal, and so much that it was to the point my car will now raddle as I am sitting still (once the engine is warm) as well as that my RPM needle bounces lightly up and down.
When I proceed to move again I noted that the car would drive normally, but that there was definitely a change in noise as I accelerate.
Until I can take it to the usual tech at a local nissan dealership I have gone to since I purchased the car I want to make sure that driving it is not making the car worse off or anything.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am looking for some insight and anything that I can do/check before I take it in for inspection.
Thank you in advance for the help,
Austin James

I can't speak to your "Idol" issue but maybe we can address the "Idle" issue. ATM = Auto-Matic Transmission? Could be a misfire, have the plugs ever been changed? Have you checked the ECU for codes? Automatic's put more load on the engine at idle, also if n engine or trans mount has gone it'll make it feel that much worse.
