But in all honesty, take it to a Nissan dealer service dept. for the mechanical issue. Something I learned a long time ago..... You want something done right, you take it to the people who ONLY do your car and have a bigger interest in getting it done right the first time.

All you people who think this is ridiculous, get over it. Nissan has a lot more at stake and a lot more to lose than Pep Boys or whatever run-of-the-mill shop one can take their shop to. No, not all dealership service depts are THAT great but at least they'll have folks in house who know our cars.

Take it to Nissan OP.

Nissan is the only place that will ever touch my Nismo. Will I fuss up a storm when it's time for maintenance, maybe. lol However, I will gladly pay the dealership premium for the satisfaction of knowing that they know my car, and the job will be done right. If you want nice things, you'd better be prepared to pay the price to keep them that way.

On the other hand, I'm also the guy that doesn't take my Nismo out during or after wet weather, when it's cloudy, or park in an area without conducting extensive recon.

just my devalued

You're a trooper OP. There's no way I could've driven this car in college and remained 100% focused on my studies, without growing a few gray hairs along the way. haha

I dont know about everyone else but to me college and HS are basically the same thing.

If you need to work 2 jobs to own a sport's car you cant afford to own a sport's car.

Get yourself a beater car and enjoy some free time.
I can't decide it this is a troll post. There were no "early Nismo's". The Nismo came out in the 2007 model year.

Update:

I took it to the nearest nissan dealership. The shroud, fan blades, radiator, lower cover, and the radiator core support all needed to be replaced. The condenser is a bit twisted but the mechanic says it's still functional and isn't a problem so I'm not going to worry about that right now.

It should all be fixed by tomorrow.

Here is the damaged radiator, shroud, and fan. It looks like the shroud pressed against the radiator hard enough to cause one of the fan blades to hit the radiator.

The next two pictures are areas where the radiator core support cracked.

Might even want to use your collision insurance and pay the deductible if the radiator and ancillary systems were damaged in this shunt.
So, I'm guessing you took this advice and eventually filed an insurance claim to pay for all this damage?
