Lug nut keeps coming loose .
I have no idea what cause the front nuts to be coming loose, the rear is fine. I took the wheels on and off back in August to do some jobs and theyve been fine till now. The thread aint stripped because i could still put the nuts on and tighten it, they only come loose after a few miles of driving
Torque it down to spec 100lbs ft torque... and once again theyve been fine for months...wtf.

If you're using 100 ft/lbs of torque, you're ready to warp some rotors. Even in D2D racing, 85# is plenty (and recommended), but I'd take a closer look at the lug seats on the wheels you have, or the shape of the seat portion of the lugs. One of them are off and most likely the cause of the loosening.

Ive always torqued them at 100lbs ft and theyve always been fine, this isnt my first Z . The car had after market wheels before using 17mm lug nut , it now has the 5 spoke oem touring wheels using the same nuts. I'll take a look at the lugs tomorrow , it had to happen during this time of the year...smh

It's not the brand that matters, it's the shape of the base of the nut and the seat in the wheel. Some wheels have a flat seat, but others have a conical or spherical seat. It's been so long since I've had OEM wheels on mine I don't remember what type they were. Any good auto parts store should have some from McGard, Mr Lugnut, etc.

What Dean is trying to educate the OP on is understanding the importance of wheel seat shapes. Asking about a buying a particular brand simply highlights ignorance. Listen to what he's saying and do a little research to educate yourself. Then go out, inspect the lug seats on BOTH your wheels and the base of the lug nuts. Then you'll have a good idea of what to buy BEFORE going to the parts store.
