Default Check Engine/VDC Light ON. Need Help

I was driving down the highway last night my slip light came on and the engine reduced power for a split second. It didn't seem like anything was wrong the vehicle felt fine and no warning lights stayed on. Well this afternoon the same thing happened but this time it was accompanied by the check engine light. The light came on and stayed on solid, at the same time the VDC off light came an along with the slip light. When I got home I turned off the car and tried to restart it. The Starter turned over for about 2 seconds before before the engine actually started. I reset the ECU waited a couple of minutes and tried to start it again and the same thing happened. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Thanks

Have you changed wheels/tires recently?

Sounds like a camshaft or the crankshaft position sensor is bad.

I'm almost certain its one of the sensors. You need to get the code to be sure which sensor it is though.

No problem, this happened to me a few months ago. It was my camshaft position sensor and after I replaced it, run fine.

I had SLIP, VDC, SES, etc... and the car idled funny, horrible power loss, and it took about 2-3 seconds to start. Even died on me too.

^ How much did it cost you to replace. I've had all of the above symptoms and the car has definitely felt a little sluggish lately too.

^ 255/35/19 (F) and 285/35/19 (R). It's not the tires.

Depends on which one it is and I have a buddy that gets me discounted parts.

I paid $50 for the cam position sensor, the other side should be the same price. I think the crankshaft one is $75-100.

Go to an Autozone or something and get the code read before you do. It's probably just one of the sensors.
