Semi new owner. Before and after pics
So I joined this forum a few months after I had purchased my first Z and have just been lurking around since. Back in January I bought a 2006 6mt touring, this car was a one owner car fax with 65k when I bought it. Since I bought it I replaced the clutch, the front reflectors and wrapped the interior. I have a set tein s tech springs that I haven't installed yet (waiting on spacers and shocks). I put in an oem clutch and master cylinder, since the car fax showed the car had always been serviced at nissan. I didn't want to risk buying a clutch that I was unfamiliar with since I had little knowledge on aftermarket parts at the time. As far as performance mods go I haven't done any yet. I just turned 25 and this car is plenty fast as of now. Since I still owe on it I'm going to wait for any performance mods. Other then that I'm really happy with my car and have had zero issues with it. I read the 06 had issues with oil consumption but this motor runs like a champ and has no oil issues. I have some pics of when I bought it and now. Enjoy!

Probably one of the smarter first posts this forum has seen.
Props for paying the car off before mods. I had a 5 year loan on my Z and paid it off in under 3 (stupid mechanical issues with my RX8 and it taking forever to sell). I also wrapped the handles but not the area around the vent as mine are still decent. I also did the silver around the shifter rather than the water fall as apparently the PO of yours use a machete to open their cubby!!
Any plans after paying her off?

You know I've read about certain mods that might increase hp but it seems like minimal gains are acquired unless you go FI. if I was to do anything it would probably be motordyne mrev2 and plenum spacer maybe some ART test pipes and that's about it. I'm not too crazy when it comes to mods and I'm not a track guy or racer. I like the reliability of the VQ and most of all the sound of the stock exhaust. I plan on paying the car off early as I've been making payments above my regular payment. Thanks for reading my post and thanks for the welcoming.
I loved the stock exhaust too but I wanted a bit louder up to 3k rpms so I went with the GReddy Evo 2 about a year after I picked up the Z. It's a very modest set up and I loved it for a long time. Then it got "too quiet" so I cut the resonators out and that reawakened the sound.
YouTube rxkid09 for the good noise
there IS a GReddy TTiC for sale on here that I considered for the longest time. I'd need a new y pipe thou so that kills the deal for me.
Glad you're keeping it simple

Nice job on the wraps. I'm not a personal fan of CF look, but you did nice work.
Does anyone know if the make wrap material like this that is a close match to the original finish in the car? It would be a lot cheaper than replacing my center waterfall.

Welcome.
Nice z.
You did a good job on the interior, I still don't know how people manage to screw up their interior like that, I've seen some absolutely horrendous interiors, I don't know how they do it.

Welcome! Very nice work you have done. I have no idea how somebody can even do that to the interior.
I can relate to that way too much. Dam rx8's

ART pipes are on my wish list. I need coilovers first though. Not much goes into the Z during winter.

I used 3m scotch print carbon I'm being honest it looks awesome in my interior it doesn't look too shiny or too flat and when the sun hits it, it looks even better. Service guys over at nissan were loving it when they saw it.
