I had the SRS light come on when I was installing my new audio system. At first I thought I really screwed something up.
You can put the SRS system in diagnostic mode yourself, (procedure is in the service manual). The light will flash out the code. Come to find out that if your battery voltage drops below 9v the SRS light will blink. So with the new amps I installed, that's probably what happened to me. Exiting diagnostic mode will extinguish the light if the problem no longer exists.
