Question Clutch popping normal???

hey guys...

I'm talking to you from bright and sunny Hawaii...I'm a proud new owner of an 03 350z Base and pretty much a newbie to this forum. I was wondering if its normal to experience an ever so slight, but noticable pop when engaging the clutch about halfway in. it doesn't seems to typically happen when I push the clutch in slow, but I notice it at normal to fast shifts. I haven't had any grinding or squeaks from my clutch/trans so I'm just wondering if this is something normal with the Z's or is this something I should have checked out? It doesn't impede my driving, but its kinda annoying since I'm not used to it (and I've driven manual trans all my life). Any and all input is appreciated.

I never had a pop noise in my stock clutch or my new nismo clutch. You say right about the middle of the release when shifting fast you can feel it, but not on slow shifts? I'll try mine again today, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't make any noise and it definitely doesn't have a pop feeling.

its kinda hard to describe...it only seems to happen after the car has warmed up and it feels like I'm hitting some kind of a notch midway through depressing the clutch. I can't really hear it, but I can definately feel it. Its like hitting a small pot hole or someone flicking your ear....its definately there and not normal (I'm not one of those **** ppl who think a sports car should be as smooth as a lux car). anyone have this happen?

you should have that checked out while the car is still under warranty. Probably needs some kind of adjustment at the least, you never know though, have the dealer where you bought it check it out.

yea mine sometimes does that, it makes a weird noise. also sometimes it will make a squeek instead of a pop. im gonna put some kind of greese on that shaft behind the petal and see if that helps.
