A stingy person

Not neccessarily negative, but if that is the way you look at it then you missed my point. My point is people don't care about the fact he loved the car they just care about how much he paid for it. They missed the fact he drove 2 hours to get it. Some of us just don't care about the cost as much as others is all I am saying. Those people are more stingy with their money. Its not neccessarily negative.

If we aren't driving the Track 350z, then we care about cost.

kcobean,

You make a lot of good points. The most important is that he is happy w/the car. Let me just say though...

1) He may not have been able to get a new Z for $3k off sticker.
2) He also got a preowned vehicle warranty, which is actually longer than the factory (although it doesn't cover as much). This warranty alone costs the dealer around $700. He'll also get roadside service with this warranty.
3) Tons of Z's have few miles - people buy them as a "fun car" and then never use them or learn to hate the ride/lack of space.
4) In addition, he got the first year of Z production...which will probably be cool if he keeps the car for a long time.

heya again guyz,,dont beat up on kcobean.. hees right in that i asked for honest opinion, in most other aspects in my life i had to be a cheapskate in order to afford the toy i reeally want!
and i do enjoy it emmencely and think i got a "fair" deal over all
the warranty is actually a nissan item not a 3rd party and labor is covered, if something major comes up, ill share on here and deal with it accordingly,

Yes i would like to say after having so many cars of all types i am truly hapiest with my Z (so far) hehe

my work schedule only allows me to drive it only Fri- Sun so its a true treat that wont soon wear out. Its extra fun going from the biggest thing on the road to one of the smallest its like a realy powerful toy! heh

and my car still cost a bit under 30 k (see first post)

Actually, the majority of posts acknowledged that as long as he is happy with what he bought, that's REALLY what's important (including mine). But the question of the OP wasn't "should I be happy with what I bought" it was "did I get a good deal". Some of us answered that, so whether we care about if he 'loved the car" or not is really beside the point.

Additionally, I don't think anyone who shells out in the neighborhood of $30K for a highly impractical 2-seat sports car that handles like crap under all but dry weather conditions could be called stingy. If we were stingy, we'd all be driving STi's!!! .....

Peace out!
