Hi everyone. I'm in the process of getting an 05 touring. Those of you who may have an 05 Z now, what's your opinion of the Bose quality in the touring model? I listen to a lot of classics, jazz, rock, and wondered if I'd have to look for an after market system. I would appreciate all your comments, thanks. ZRA

 

You will have to listen to it yourself and make a judgement. Many people who participate in these forums are "enthusiasts", and by nature are a bit more demanding. I for one think the Bose system in the Touring model sounds just fine, but you will find that opinion in the minority in these forums. The only way for you to know for sure is to sit in the car, take your favorite CD for you on a long ride, and judge for yourself.

I think ZBoater hit the nail on the head...if your are an "car audio enthusiast", you might be underwelmed...but I like it.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10...The base sounds decent, but can get a little thumpy right behind your seat...I think it's the mids and highs that are lacking somehow.

It is an awesome stereo from a functional standpoint. 6CD-in dash is awesome, and the controls are layed out so well. It's a joy to operate.


How does the BOSE sound compared to other stock systems???

I have to admit the Mach1 audio system in my 2002 Ford Taurus sounds better, even though the bass doesn't hit quite as hard.

This BOSE would have to sound pretty crappy before I'd consider tearing that headunit out...damit, I payed for the BOSE just to get the leather and I'm going down with the ship!

i'm not much of an audio guy but i think the bose is pretty disappointing for it being an "upgraded" sound system. I've never heard the non-bose in a 350z so i can't really compare, however i dont think it would be much worse.

 

Does the '05 track model have a BOSE?
