Default Questions in regards to nismo wing

So I'm budgeting towards purchashing a nismo wing. I can afford the wing itself, I should be able to afford a good paint job, just wanted to make sure the install cost wouldnt break me.
I dont know if this helps, but I plan to(if possible) to get everything done thru Performance Nissan.
Anybody out there with a nismo wing got any advise for a mod noob.

thanks in advance,
bobby

Got mine and was not happy with the chips it had. In fact, wasn't happy with the fit and finish of the replica. I ended up sending it back.

Performance sells them for $300 I believe, however, E-Bay has the replica's for $180.

Are you getting the replica version? Plan on spending an additional $200-$350 for paint and install.

Sorry, but for almost $600 I could get a Nismo exhaust, well almost,

Bottom line, I was not happy with the look of the replica. Just my .02

How much is the replica? I was planning on getting an authentic one. I'm not sure if I'm totally confused, but I'm assuming the one Jason @ Performance is selling for $277 is an authentic nismo wing. A guy there quoted me $300.00 for the paint but he wasnt 100% sure since Jason wasnt there and the paint shop was closed.
Exhaust is one of the later things on my list of mods.
Currently I'm looking at the nismo wing, then maybe some tein coilovers and rims(not sure which ones I'm going with yet, but I got plenty of time to think about it-mostly if I want to get rims and coilovers at about the same time).
I've always been partial to bbs rims but not sure if they match the Z. havent seen any pics of a Z with bbs rims.

I have the authentic Nismo wing and love it. You can go cheaper and it will look almost the same but for me, I did not want to 'fake the funk.'

Also, if you have an OEM spoiler in place additional hole filling will be necessary and up the cost when you install the Nismo.

Replica's run $100-$190 on E-bay. If I am not mistaken, the one Jeff has, is not the Real Nismo Wing. Do not quote me though, I could be wrong.

I actually just called Performance. They said its an actual Nismo wing. Internet price is $277 for the wing, $300 for the paint and $170 for the install. I had a feeling the install price would break my budget. Guess I'm gonna have to wait a bit longer. Thanks for all the help.

$170 to install, that is way overpriced. I believe it is a matter of drilling 3-4 holes and fastening the wing down. How hard could that be?

Hell, $300 is way overpriced to paint one piece,

It's probably that price cuz its a dealership and dealerships always charge the premium price. Maybe I'll research where I can find paint and install for a better price.
Anybody in the OC area know of a good paint and installer?

I got my wing for $300 from the dealer I bought the car from (Tonkin in Portland, OR). No shipping costs.

My body shop quoted me $150 for paint and install of the wing. The quotes you got were way high - shop arround.

My costs ended up being more because of the OEM wing holes and the shop ended ip repainted the whole rear deck - BUT, if you don't have an OEM spoiler, paint and install should run $200 or less total.

Try WetWorks Garage in Stanton (or Costa Mesa). I had my US NISMO wing painted and installed for $250 -- great work too.

Sorry I wasnt there... I was in meetings at the end of the day till 7pm... :-/

The URETHANE NISMO USDM WIng is $277 plus tax plus paint... Paint being between $220-300 depending on color... Install will be about $225...

If you have a factory rear lip spoiler the USDM NISMO WING will NOT cover the holes!

We also can get you the FG NISM0 JDM Type Rep1ica Wing. Paint is more for Fiberglass though...

If you have a daytona blue 350z I have a wing that the customer bailed on. He pre-payed the paint so I can offer it to you for local install only for $277 plus tax plus $225 install... ONLY ONE DAYTONA BLUE WING AT THAT PRICE!
