It's cool. I'll post pics when I get my digi-cam back, or I can try and take paper pictures and scan them or something. I already rubbed off most of the paint off of it, but you can still see the damage.

Just as an update....

I took a picture of the damage so I could wipe my rear with your BS flag. It was on a film camera (as my digital camera left town with the person I let borrow it), so I will post it as soon as I get it developed and scanned.
Anyhow, the cops finally contacted me and left a message saying basically they won't bother trying to find out who made the purchase corresponding to that receipt - so I'm basically S.O.L. with getting the guy. (To the person who asked: The time stamp on the receipt was from the same day, which is why I think it is so relevant).

I'm leaving the car at the body shop over the weekend as they said it would be fixed by Monday. The manager of the shop said they'll be able to fix it without having to replace the cracked panel, but I'm not sure how.
This has sucked.

 

I work at a grocery store and I actually saw this exact same thing happen....a lady hit a parked car...saw that me and some others outside on a smoke break saw her...so she got a pen and a little recipet paper and pretended to write on it and leave it on the car....luckily i wrote the ladys license plate number down cause after she left i went and saw she had written NOTHING on the paper she had left on the car.....i gave the lady whos car got hit all the info...the cops called me to ask me about it but i was sleeping and never called em back

 

damn i hate people like that. Own up to your own damn responsibilities! Geez.. i hope everything works out okay though.

 

Unfortunately we have no role models for acting responsably and owning up, its the culture
