Default 350z or G35

Hi I have a 2004 350z coupe touring and my mom is looking for a car. I love mine and so does she but she can't decide between the g35 coupe and the 350z. Which one would you reccomend based mainly on reliability and quality. Thanks a lot guys

search. This question is asked at least twice a week so you can find plenty of info, but for a short opinion . . . they are both reliable and quality is a broad subject since you can mean quality of anything, but if you're talkin about interior quality i would say the g35 by a hair.

I would say she should get the g35 considering you already have the Z, and when you get the need, you can swap cars and fulfill both choices!!!!

in retrospect, the G35 Coupe is a much better value. Better service, free loaner cars, 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty instead of 36,000/36month.

Seats 4... "luxury" brand, better luxurious interior... better resale value.

If I had to do it all over again, I think I might hafta flip a coin between G35 and Z. I think your mom (not to stereotype women) will like the G35 alot better.

I personally don't like the look of the G as much. It's "similar" to the Z but I don't like the rear or the front.

Ask your mom if she will ever need to drive more than 1 person.

it depends if she needs the extra 2 seats in the back interior quality is almost the same if she goes w/ the touring in the z but since there already is a z in the family get its close related cousin the g35

Good advice from all the others....As far as your question on reliability and quality? Both are the same, and both are excellent.....IMO

Get the G35c. Since you already have one. They are two different cars, and I think that your mom would enjoy the slightly less noisy and bumpy ride of the G35c. It's got a touch of luxury in it too. I just switched from G35c to Z .. So I have an honest opinion on both. Infiniti usually has nicer customer service and dealership experience too, just because of the people they cater too. Side by side the G35c and 350z look awesome. Search for my thread on 350z track and g35c pics together.

if she's looking for a 2005, definitely go with the G - the interior is 10x better than the previous models and you can get the forged 19's from the factory... I definitely think the G is a better value overall for many of the reasons stated above - and when the first pics of the G came out, I was sold (can't say the same about the Z - could never get over the taillights/rear-end) - performance and practicality all in the sexiest 2x2 wrapper out there (for under $100k)

As far as I was told, the 350Z has a higher resale value than that of the G35...

The G35 is a more practical family car. Face the facts: the Z holds one passenger and one or two bags of groceries.

g35 is closer to a moms car than a 350z. go for the G just for comfort.

Well she ended up buying a daytona blue z roadster. I'm glad she did because it's a lot of fun to drive. Thanks for your help guys, here's a pic with my Z

The 350Z resale may be higher than the G35 Sedan, but definately not the G35 coupe. The G35 coupe has the highest resale of all coupes: http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/resale_values/
