Whats the difference?
Whats the difference between these two "no holes" front license plate holders:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan..._Code=ZEE-BRCT
http://www.strictlyz.com/customer/pr...6edba2d4a95b2c
It looks like the ZEE bracket has to "holders", is this true? I thought it would have only one that would screw into the tow hook. Does the zee bracket go into the tow hook or is it attached to the grill?
Thanks

Tough to tell from those great pics.
But I believe the zee bracket attaches to the grill in front of the tow hook. You have to remove the bracket to get to the tow hook, but it doesn't actually attach to it.

Price. And I believe you're correct. 1 attaches to the tow hook. The one from CP attaches to the grill and blocks the tow hook. Either way they would both need to be removed to use the hook. My question is who would anyway? I'd request a "flatbed" if I needed a tow.

I don't think that it actually attaches to the tow hook but rather it threads into the fitting that the tow would thread into. The problem that I see with the one from Courtesy is that you may have problems removing it if you need to thread in the tow hook. (This may be compounded by the fact that you may not have tools with you if the car breaks down). It looks like the bolts may be obscured by the bracket.
As far as a rollback, you are still going to need the tow hook to get the car pulled onto the rollback. You do not want the rollback operator to "find" a place to put the tow hook to pull the car onto the rollback.

the strictly z one just screws into the hole where you screw in your tow hook....no drilling.
the courtesy one, it attatches to your grill but you have to still drill holes in your grill.
i hear the courtesy one is more stable though. also the inventor of this holder commented that he didnt want to use the tow hook hole because he thought that if one were to get into an accident the strictly z style holder may damage the tow hook hole and you wont be able to get towed.

I am buying one only because i need to have a front plate when driving into NYC. Well.... i need one in NY state also (where i live) but the cops dont give me any problems, but in NYC i would get a ticket in a heart beat without a front plate. So i just need one that is easy to put on and take off.

I have the one from Courtesy Parts, I dropped a small wrench in by my jack so if I ever need a tow, I can remove the tag.
Also, even with a flatbed don't they have to tow the car up the ramp?
