I use to drive an old 86 volkswagon cabrio about 5 years ago and that shifter was alll over the place! That car was crazy though. It would start up with out even pushing in the clutch.

Yeah the VW's are funny a buddy had an 85 GTI and after a lot of years and miles he could even shift without the clutch.
