Default Where to start

New owner of 2004.5 DB Roadster. Feeling a little overwhelmed with where to start modding the car. Audio or Exterior.

Went to my first Z Meet in Orlando on Jan 1st in O Town. These guys at O.Z.O.C had some awesome cars.

The easiest mod will be window tint and the O.Z.O.C logo in the window. Windows get tinted next Wednesday.

The stereo HU will be the Eclipse AVX2494. Not sure on speakers and amp.

The local guys in Polk County do not seem to be up on stereo installations on ZCars. Looking for install shops in O-Town that are familiar with the roadster.

Wheels. Choices, Choices, Choices. Have not seen too many pics on DB Roadsters. I like chrome wheels with a large lip. Just not sure which brand and what I should be looking to pay.

So would you recommend starting with the wheels and tires or the stereo?

well you are going to get different ideas because everyone started somewhere etc...

I personally think that Black wheels on DB contrast perfectly, you can click my sig to see some pics of my wheels.

I would go with wheels before tunes, just because I feel it quickly seperates your car from others around you... quickly get's your style and taste into the car....

but like I said, everyone is different and just go with what makes you happy.

Awesome Car!!! The modofications look very well thought out.

How much for the tire and wheel setup?

Mine is a covertible. The black in the wheels bring out the other dark colors in the hood and tail lights on your car. I wont have that because the top and windows are down most of the time.

Just curious if I will get the same visual impact of your ride.

I notice the back tail lights are blacked out. Is that a laminent or full replacement?

That's a beautiful Z, cat2102! Those wheels really do look perfect with your car. Anyway, I think you should start with rims acrowder. The right rims can make any car look a lot better, and new wheels make a pretty big difference, more than a new system will.

since you became the new owner ... why dont you give some time to it?
unless you are having a problem with wheels or stereo.
well...if i have to choose, i would go for wheels with tires...since speakers and amp are not under your consideration at this point.
good luck =)

those tailights are a vinyl an awesome member on this board makes them and they are cheap and great first mod....

BLUEBATMOBILE is his name, and if you make your way to the INVENTOR forum, you will see a long thread..I have the vinyl smoke covers for my tailights and turn signals...

or you can just go to www.bluebatmobile.com

also, on the wheels, yes, the black would still bring out the color of the DB even though your top and windows are down, but is a preference. You are looking at about 3,000 for the wheels and tires. If you are interested, PM me and I can put you in contact with a vendor who will give you great pricing on the Black Volks... there are other popular styles of the volks in this same color you should check out... but just PM me and i can help you....

and thanks on the compliments about the car!

Wheels and tires, always wheels and tires first.
