I just picked up my Z yesterday. I went out to start it this morning and there was this loud crackling noise coming from the vents. It stopped after a few seconds but it scared the **** outa me. Has anyone else observed this? Please don't tell me Im the only one :/

 

Probably a stupid question - not your radio? If it continues - take it back for repair!- whatever the cause is.

 

I had the radio down. Apparantly it only did it when i started the engine after a long rest. O well, Ill see again tomorrow morning

 

is ur Z Auto or manu?..My Auto Z sometimes has that sound when i start the car..

 

Never had it. I do get a squealing belt although I've tightened down the gates belts. Probably a small oil leak somewhere :0.
