I'm under my dads name and he has a clean record, no tickets or accidents, 700 a year/ full coverage through west bend mutual insurance.
Sounds like it was a great move to get an even bigger car than the Neon

So have you learned anything from all that crap, or are you still happily cruising around, oblivious to the fact that you are a danger to the rest of the world?

Make sure you thank your dad every day for the umbrella he's providing you. I'm sure coverage on your own would drive you into the ground.

Sorry if I'm being an @$$, you just seem like you're proud of your record, which is beyond lame.

Sorry to re-edit my post... I forgot to mention that maybe one of the reasons my insurance is so high is because I chose to be covered up to $500,000 liability max per incident. A lot of people have told me that I'm overinsured, but I feel it's better safe than sorry. Being covered for only $100,000 is way too low in my opinion. If you accidentally kill someone on the road and their family sues you, you can expect to dish out $100,000 easily if it's your fault. Just some food for thought..

Gieco is rediculous, i was quoted 3000 a year from another insurance company before switching to gieco and getting 1800 a year for full coverage.

Was the accident your fault? Either way your insurance is probably going up, and any of those cars listed are easily higher than the Z's insurance. You'll really get raped on a gto or zo6.

The variables are age (less than 25 higher), driving record and location. In my case I'm 47 with 1 ticket in 4 years but living in the Miami area with all the uninsured drivers I'm paying $1700/yr

Location, Location, Location

Hit black ice, I guess it will be deemed my fault. I was acting with reasonable care, there was really nothing I could do to recover, mabye if I was in a world rally car I could have, but anyway
