103 mph, gander in the rearview, flashing blue lights...damn.

Ticket for 70 in a 55 and "very cooperative" comment writen on the ticket. Thinking about going to court next week instead of mailing the $95 court cost and fine ( 2 points).

Got zapped doing 79 in a 30 zone whilst undertaking a truck once when I was working in London a couple of years ago. On my way back to the office on dual carriageway, thought I was in a 60 zone so still speeding. The Policeman got me with a handheld unit from about 700 foot. First thing I know about it this coppers stood in the middle of the road with his hand out. Good thing I wasn't messing with the radio or something otherwise it could have been really bad! Splat! He let me of with an SP30 (excess speed in a 30 zone), this comes with a £40 fine and 3 points but could have been alot worse. Told him I was just working down in London for a couple of months and needed to drive for my job. Lucky for me I got him on a good day. Not all of them are dicks. No offence Smooth!

77 in a 25. on my motorcycle though.

But I saw the cop too late to slow down and just pulled over next to him and he wrote it down to 30 in a 25.

100+ in a 55 zone at night, 30 days in county jail, lost my job. This happened in rural Montana back when there was no daytime limit, however, because Montana is "open range" for livestock there was, and still is, a 55 mph limit at night (and a 70 mph limit now in the daytime).

In texas you can pretty much get a ticket once a year and your insurance will never know about it. As long as you only get busted going 25 over or less you can take the driving class and get it taken off your record. $70 court fee and $25 class. You can take the class once a year and sometimes the judge is cool and will let you take it twice in a year. The best one I ever heard was a friend of mine who got a ticket for speeding and the judge dismissed it if he wrote a 3 page paper about time management since he claimed the reason he was speeding was b/c he was late.

In my experiance if your not speeding too bad if you roll down your window, turn on your map lights, put your hands on the wheel (before he gets to your car) and say "yes sir", "no sir", "my insurance is in my glove box do you mind if I get it sir" you will get a warning or a ticket that is only 25 over the posted limit so you can take the class and get it removed.
