Default Depreciation of the Z by May?

I'm looking to purchase a 350Z by late May or early June, just curious as to what the theories of what depreciation will be. I'm looking to buy one with less then 35-40k miles on it, anything aside from the base, probably Black or Silver. Right now I find the lowest deals to be around $22k, any possibilities of a couple being in the $18.5-$20 range?

it's cheaper to buy a Z now, then wait untill may... there's always exceptions, but usually Z's sell for more $ when the warmer weather comes

i know this because i almost sold my Z the past few months

Also a car with 35K miles often carries a certain price (meaning that the price of a 35K mile Z won't necessarily be less or more by May, because it's still a 35K mile car). Six months of aging isn't going to bring it to $18.5K IMHO. You're seeing $22K (which is a good sized drop) due to this period being the biggest depreciation period (the first 2 years).

you cant expect quick depreciation on a car that is not staying in dealer inventories very long.

if you can get a 2003 Track Z, a $34k car, for $22k 2-3 years after it was originally bought, you're not going to see much difference in 4 months.

now if it has dropped that much after only one year... that would be your typical domestic story. refer to the 2004 Pontiac GTO as an example. but domestics depreciate faster due to huge rebates...

Well I'm looking predominantly around the $20k range. Specifically because my father is helping me purchase the Z, originally I planned to get an RSX-S but they don't depreciate much and if I could find a Z for around the same price in my opinion and my fathers I should just find a Z.

Also how much more do you think the price could be driven down if it were a private sale/dealer? Estimates

In May the Eddie Bauer edition Z's will be coming out so all current Z models will be worth around $2000...
