Ive been looking at 350z for a while now...had my mind set to get a 05 track...the only problem i had was choosing the right color....and out of no where my Supra fantasys came back to hunt me....now im considering buying a TTsupra also......I just need help and somone to tell me the pros and cons or w/e...if you been through this before......the supra is a very reliable car and the 2jz is amazing....but then they weigh a lot too....i not too sure how good they handle... most say fairly good....also was wondering what woud be the difference with insurence between these two cars....anyways can somebody help me make the right choice. Tnx
Insurance is the same - lil more on the TT and well the Supra handles like crazy (in a good way) I swear those cars feel better over 100 MPH.
I have been haunted my Supra dreams for YEEEEAARS. See they stole my project civic back in 98 and I was pumped to run to the dealer and buy a Supra well you know what happened - NO MORE SUPRAS for U.S. - stopped in 98. I was devastated so I went hunting and well never quite found what I wanted since everyone was now holding unto their Supras and the ones that were out there had too many mods.
Anywho here are my thoughts ...
The amount of $$ you'd pay for the supra is just around that of a Z. With a new Z you arent inheritting problems - the Supra will be used remember and may have probs = that is addition $$$ to fix it - no fun fixing something and paying for it at the same time ( been there done dat) and being paranoid wondering what next will happen
Buy the Z and just let the Supra thing go
At this point I'd get a Supra now only if I am ready to throw down the $$ all at once and keep it as project.
Thats just my lil opinion anyway

Supra's are not coming back. Toyota released a statement several months ago (I think it was posted on this site and shown to me by an older member) that the Supra was not being reproduced.

the supras are like 0.98 skidpad w/e that means...can someone explain? and what is the 350z's time? which is better at a race/road track?
i think umma go with the Z knowing its a newer car and i dont have to go thru getting a used car headache plus i think the supra weighs a lil too much for me....

Stock for stock they are about the same, a 350Z should pull it. But for cheap mods, you will blow the doors off the Z. Also stock parts are really expensive when you start breaking things or parts just wear out over time.
I was looking at a Supra before I got my Z. I just couldn't pay $30k for a Supra with 80k miles when I could get a Z with 8k miles for much less. Plus I get a warranty. Plus it's 5 years newer. Plus I know that people who buy Supras like to drive them hard. 80k miles is a lot of trauma.
