Default First Bath For My Redline

Used a little Dawn. It seems to have worked quite well.

Should'nt you Zaino it first before you get the 3M? That is what I am planning to do. I thought that what paint the 3M covers should be just like the rest of the paint before the 3M film is applied. Am I wrong/missing something here?

Default Don't Zaino First!!!

I asked the same question. The answer I received was to apply the 3M first. The technician said it would not adhere to a polished (Zainoed) surface. After the 3M is applied, I can Zaino over it.

Oh MAN, that arrest-me-Redline looks killer! I love my Silverstone, but the red really looks sharp. I might have Z envy.......

be aware that the dawn stripped most if not all of the wax. so be sure to get the bra done, and then you will have to wash it a few more times including once with dawn and with the clay bar. then protect the paint again.

and dont make a habit of the dawn washing, thats a very tough detergent, not something your paint particularly likes, occasional use is ok(a few times a year), but they make car wash for a reason.

Might need to post a few more pics to "finish" him off.....other wise he'll have to change his screen name to "blue *****" and that would just cause a bunch a lot of confusion. You can't be responsible for that now.......
