Can anyone recommend a good lemon law layer? Im trying to get nissan to buy back my 350Z or at least replace it with something that wont have nearly as many problems..... I wrote a letter and it's about 5 pages long. However I would rather just find the right lawyer to handle this ******** for me.. Write the letter, etc.

The car itself has been non useable for ~10weeks.... <--- Not even a joke. Colorado state law says if it's unuseable for 31 days it is a lemon.... and im sick and tired of this ****.

Also well... this is what has been replaced or has problems still..... transmission failure, suspension failure, front toe arms, early wear of the drivers side seat sides, trunk failure to open, gas door failing to open, early tire feathering (which needed to be fixed outside of a dealer due to undue circumstances), gas tank not filling fully under circumstances that still remain unknown, right rear tire pressure sensor not registering, and a clicking noise when backing up in reverse.


some of that time that the car has been un-useable has also come from waiting time for parts... it took them four and a half weeks to get my new suspension in and two weeks to get my transmission in the last time.


But anyways enough bitching can anyone recommend a good lawyer? or good advice?

 

Honestly, since you been through hell and back just live with it. If that is not an option your best bet would be to trade it in.

A few guys tried to lemon law their cars a while back, from what I understand not a single one went through maybe one guy? I think they bought his car back for what he owed (sp?) on his 350Z.

Other guys just traded it in. Hopefully your not upside down on your car if you go the trade in route.

 

Yeah.. I know that the worst is probably over however I don't exactly want to find out.... lol

Did those guys have lawyer and were there cars clearly lemons as classified by the state? ie problems going in for unreasonable amount of times. or out of service for 31 days or more?

I really cant remember. It was hard cause as you say each state is different, but you would have to get a lawyer. No one ever got into details about how or what they did, even when people asked. The main reason was; I bet nothing got done. So I know its no walk in the park.

I happened to check texas just for the hell of it, and found there is a cut off date too. Meaning if you have it for a period of time one cannot file for lemon law.

I'm going to see what I can find tomorrow... I'm going to talk to a couple of my old cop buddies and see if they can recommend someone that will help me work it out.... and I will keep you guys updated.

 

Where did you buy your Z? (Dealer to avoid, etc...)

 

I bought my 350 from Boulder Nissan. However I wouldnt go as far to say "avoid" them.. there service is awesome when it comes in for service **** gets taken care of..... I think they just built my Z with every problem possible.....

 

Look up the lemon laws in your state. They specify what is a "lemon". Ford is taking back my fathers one year old Lincoln LS with 2500 miles on it. The Ohio law states "one life threatening "event. Stalled turning left in a busy intersection and would not restart. Also was in 4 other times. Look in your owner's manual for the address of Nissan to write to. cb

 

Im so sorry your going through this...I honestly don't know any good lawyers. I say keep fighting with Consumers Affairs, and don't give up. Trust me they're really nice people but they have to follow orders.
