Default parking brake

my parking brake was pulled all the way up and my mom tried to get the car into the garage but she forgot to put it down and revved it liek to 3000 and it went liek 2 feet, it smelled liek burnt rubber after, is my car broken now?

oh yea and should i add she stalled out twice int eh process... ahhh i think my car is messed up someone help

Doh! But dont worry, I dont think much damage was done to your car within those 2 feet. Burning rubber is just your break pads, it might wear a lil, but not much difference its gonna make in that short of distance...just make sure DONT LET YOUR MOM DRIVE IT AGAIN!!

Nope. Not broken. Maybe if she forgot that the brake was up while going 85mph down the interstate, then we would have a problem, but cars are built to withstand little streses like this, not that I would reccomend doing it as a habit or anything. And next time, hide the keys.

Default Parking brake

Driving with the parking brake on is pretty much just really bad on the parking brake. It can't do any damage to the engine.

The smell probably came from the clutch. If that is an example of your mom's diving skill, I would hide the keys.
