Typically, when any sort of accident involves frame damage its gonna be tagged for life.

You accident didnt look as bad as it sounded so it should be ok

good luck on the repair

Considering the Volks and tires have now been labeled "toast" by the body shop . . . the estimate is 12K and rising. After looking at it on the rollback, they anticipate replacing most of the components on the rear (axle, control arms, etc) and expect the cost to come close to $14-15K. I doubt they will total it since the replacement values with all the mods exceeds $40K.

I was about to put on the body kit within the next month, but I guess there's not a better time than now to have it done

Trust me fellas, the pics don't show half the detail. The pics show damage to the rear extremely well, but it doesn't show the detailed damage to the front bumper or the rims. Perhaps, I should have parked it going the other direction and let them plow into the engine bay. Now that, my friends, would have been a fatal blow!

On a serious note, we all have a choice and I chose not to let it bother me . . . it does suck, but hey, what can I do about it besides create a nice paper trail and lobby for the replacement of certain parts.

Strong, well that's debateable, but a little wiser at the ripe ol' age of 27, probably As time goes on, you'll start to see the priorities in life and although you love to work on a vehicle, its not the end if a "challenge" presents itself.

Thanks everyone for the support and with any luck, the Z is merely postponed for its formal show debut--I was anticipating that I would show it after I finished the body kit, audio (custom fiberglassing), and some forged internals (not necessary for show, but great for the go).

Not sure . . . this occurred just the other night and I haven't met with their insurance company yet (meet on monday) . . . I'll let you know when I find out. If yours is not nearly as bad, you might just need a minor bondo job which is typically inexpensive.

That reminds me of a shirt I picked up in Florida (no offense intended):

"I used to be sexist, but b!tches hate that ****."

Ahhhh, the memories . . . .

Gary, got to give it to you, hosting all these pics of your mangled 350Z. And I would be in a state of rage especially knowing that DUI was involved. When the insurance company calls you, you'll be getting a hefty check. When my dad totaled his car, the insurance gave him more than fair value on the car.
