Default OEM Xenon in Base

Has anyone swapped the OEM Xenon HID headlamp assembly into their base model 350Z? Just wondering if it is a bolt in affair. Do the harnesses match? are there any different mounting points?

I had mine done by someone who knew how to do it... but it was not a straight bolt on... major modification was needed... the headlight circuit plugs are different (HID headlights vs non HID headlights)...

Thanks for the info. Was the housing mounting direct fit?

I got a OEM HID kit from Jun, it is very easy. Basically remove the front bumper, remove the headlights, plug in 2 things and put it back together. No splicing or anything. Took about an hour and I had no prior experience.

If you're talking about the actual housing... then its an exact fit... but the circuit plugs are different... i think it was 6 prongs vs 8 prongs (dont count me on that)

maybe a HID KIT would be an easier route... because you have to find spare OEM HID Headlights and that might be too hard or too expensive...

Actually I already have both headlamps from a totalled touring model. I guess I just need to find out how to wire them up.
