Thumbs up PBS documentary: Great Cars "Nissan Z"

Thanks to the Tivolution, I just watched a pretty good documentary on the history of the Z car along w/a brief history of the company. It was pretty cool... they showed early Datsuns, some bits of the various Zs, talked briefly to Mr. Katayama, showed some scenes from the Z32 assembly line including the last 300ZX to roll off the assembly line, some video from the unveiling of one of the 350Z concepts and talked about Carlos Ghosn.

http://www.greatcarstv.com/index.cfm...age&PageID=109 has a little blurb on it. You should check http://www.greatcarstv.com/index.cfm...age&PageID=111 to see if your local PBS station will be airing it.

One my local PBS stations channel 43, KCSM aired it earlier today at 5:30 pm. The only guide data I have is:
Great Cars
"Nissan Z" (2004) Nissan Z. Series

It doesn't look like it'll be rerun here in the Bay Area in the next 2 weeks.

Is it in HD? PBS HD is one of the 2 local HD channels I get.

I ordered from the Great Cars TV website. Here is a direct link to the "Z" DVD.

Although DirecTV offers a new HD Tivo machine for an economical $1,000.

$20 seems pretty steep. Is the show worth it? How long is the episode? I've never seen the show, so I'm not sure what to expect. If it's two hours long, then I can go for the price. But if it's only a half-hour, then that's a pretty expensive disc.

The show is 30 minutes. I don't think it's worth $20 for a DVD of a show you haven't seen.

If you had a Tivo though, you could set an auto record wishlist for keywords "Great Cars Nissan Z" and it would automatically record it for you if it ever airs.
