Default This is a terrible question to ask.

Ive only had my z for two months, so Im new.
Here is the question.
What is a fairlady z?
I hear it all the time but am not sure what it is exactly.

You must be from the south! I wuz raised in Hickory NC, skinnin kats, and drivin it like I stol it!

So, its the same car, its just what the Japanese call it?

Anyway, I believe the Japanese version of our beloved 350z is called the Fairlady Z.

I just so happened to come across this thread. Everyone needs to be aware there are too many threads for the moderators to cover. So if you come across a post that is offensive, click Report Post under the user name.

I'll edit that post.

seewinnerslist, the Fairlady Z is the 350Z in Japan. ALL Z models in Japan have been called the Fairlady Z. They were marked to be a Fairlady Z in America, but when they got here, someone high up in Nissan North America changed the badging when they received them because he didn't feel Fairlady Z would be an appropriate name for a sports car and that people would be detered because of that.

I personally have no problem with Fairlady Z, the way car-guys talk about their cars, you would think it was a woman.

A lot of guys DO put that on their car. They replace the 350Z emblem with Fairlady Z.
