Gas Mileage and Mobil 1
Humor me...maybe it's because I've done a little more highway driving than before the oil change. Maybe it's my sheer will being imposed on the car. But can your oil improve your gas mileage?

Josh,
Absolutely. With my Toyota Tacoma 4x4 pickup, I was getting a constant 19 mpg. I switched oil to Castrol GTX and saw an immediate, and consistent 21 mpg. I let the dealer change the oil once (they used Pennzoil), and my mpg went back to 19. I switched back to Castrol on the next change and, yep, mpg went back to 21.
I will always use Castrol,
Todd

If there is anyone out there who care bear to drive with cruise control on and leave it there for a few hours, have you checked your highway mileage? 75 mph or so. And what do you get. Asking for 6MT.

I can't seem to get above 21...that's what I got on my first highway-only trip.

I get 23-24 mpg driving 80-95mph on the eway.
