Default Road Noise

I have looked at all the post and i didnt see this addressed. I have an 04 Touring 6sp with about 9k on it. When i go about 15-25 mph I hear a noise that sounds like an airplane taking off. Its very loud is this normal or does this just have something to do with my car??

It seems to be "normal" on 03' and 04'

do a search for "tire feathering" and welcome to the club.

Default The Z is just not a quiet car...

I started a thread on this topic a little while ago. When I purchased my '03 Track w/4K miles on it it seemed pretty noisy, and yes, the stock 040s were indeed getting feathered. So at 6K I replaced all four w/Yoko AVS ES100's (Nissan paid for fronts + alighment) and expected a much quieter car. Surprise! It was just about as noisy! Now the Track supposedly has less sound deadening material, but even with new tires it is not quiet. But I wasn't after quiet, so no problem.

Hmm... not sure about that. I'd be very surprised if there was any sound deadening difference. I mean heck, there's almost none to begin with... how could they take out more in the Track model?
