Default quarter mile time for manumatic?

I am a future z owner who is lookin to by an auto z and was curious to what people run with there auto z stock no turbos or supercahrgers just plain stock. Also if the manumatic mode will improve times becasue i hear people with autos say that there is a very minimal difference between the auto and manual.

the manumatic will help you drop about .2 seconds off your quarter mile times. I have run 13.9 with my stock 350z auto, but i think it mite be possible to hit a 13.8 if everything is done PERFECTLY with a 2.0 0-60 launch. with intake, test pipes, and wider tires I was at 13.8 trapping 102 with a 2.1 0-60. so I should be rite at around 13.6 if I can get my friggin launch down. Thats just to show you the potential the auto has ^_^

I just have a Injen exhaust and its putting 264 to the wheels. See sig below. So I should be running at least 13.7 or better.

if all you care about is drag racing, the auto is much more consistant. If you're more into having fun when driving at all times, get the manual. After having driven both, i couldnt imagine having drive this car with an auto.

Well i dont no how to drive manual my self and i think at this point i am more comfortable with auto since this is my first car im getting at the age of 17. And no my parents arent buying it for me. Im gettin a deal on a touring 350z form my moms friend. It will have about 5,000 miles in it but thats fine wiht me. My brother tells me to learn to drive manual on the 350z cause he says im not ready for his supra. I have driven manual once when i was 15 and it was not the most fun for me it may have been the fact that it was my first time driving and that it wasnt exciting becasue it was a prizm but i feel that any 350z is good for me. I was just curious to no what the times are of an auto to a manual. Im prob gonna modd it some what so we will see how it goes.

Well im planning on modding mine to so i just wann run about a 13.5 and trap at like 103 and i just wanna no form an experienced auto z driver if its possible with the modds listed(borla true duel, borla headers, injen cai)
I might get high flow cats later. I just wanna no if the z is still fun to drive as an auto. Ill prob get some opinions from manual owners but i wonder if they acually drove the auto version or just went straight to manual?

If anyone just want to give me a car I'll take it as long as it runs or is sellable. That would make me feel better. If it's free it's for me!

If I actually do something to earn it, it does make me appreciate it more.

Well since i see autos run consistant times of 13.8 or 13.9 i just wanna no what is the big deal in everyone arguing that the manual is better. They good for different things auto is better for dragging and manual is better for highway pulls. I wanna no if borla true duel exhaust, borla headers, and a cai could bring the car from a 13.9 to a 13.6 and trap at about 103 or 104.

It all depends on your driving skills man. If you're asking if it's possible, sure it is, as long as you're good at launching. Seeing as how this is your first car I'm guessing you aren't very experienced with launching, so it'll take lots of practice.

I was 20 when i bought my z last july, i drove it off the dealership lot having never driven a manual in my life. To add to that i lived at 10,500 ft in the colorado rockies so i had to learn on steep hills. I have no regrets getting the manaul.

i've seen auto's run consistant 14-14.2's stock at hrp and thats supposed to be one of the fastest tracks in the usa. I seriously doubt basic bolt ons will get you a 13.6 with stock tires and an auto.

Well there are auto drivers who woudl beg to differ considering they ran 13.9 stock. They are right here on this forum on had an exhaust and the other was stock.

When I ran a 13.9@99.5 at Atco NJ. My Z was bone stock. With better traction,13.8 is possible. My friend has a 350Z 6spd(CAI,exhaust,testpipes,pulleys,and 19s wheels)highway roll we were even. With just the Injen. So I'm probably trapping 101 in the 1/4.

i dont doubt that they have run sub 14 times stock at all. All i'm trying to say is not every z is going to run those times. There are a lot of variables that can affect your times, and on a good day im sure you'll hit a sub 14. But for the most part expect ~14 sec e/t's stock.
