quarter mile time for manumatic?
I am a future z owner who is lookin to by an auto z and was curious to what people run with there auto z stock no turbos or supercahrgers just plain stock. Also if the manumatic mode will improve times becasue i hear people with autos say that there is a very minimal difference between the auto and manual.

the manumatic will help you drop about .2 seconds off your quarter mile times. I have run 13.9 with my stock 350z auto, but i think it mite be possible to hit a 13.8 if everything is done PERFECTLY with a 2.0 0-60 launch. with intake, test pipes, and wider tires I was at 13.8 trapping 102 with a 2.1 0-60. so I should be rite at around 13.6 if I can get my friggin launch down. Thats just to show you the potential the auto has ^_^

I might get high flow cats later. I just wanna no if the z is still fun to drive as an auto. Ill prob get some opinions from manual owners but i wonder if they acually drove the auto version or just went straight to manual?

My brother tells me to learn to drive manual on the 350z cause he says im not ready for his supra. I have driven manual once when i was 15 and it was not the most fun for me it may have been the fact that it was my first time driving and that it wasnt exciting becasue it was a prizm but i feel that any 350z is good for me. I was just curious to no what the times are of an auto to a manual. Im prob gonna modd it some what so we will see how it goes.

If I actually do something to earn it, it does make me appreciate it more.

It all depends on your driving skills man. If you're asking if it's possible, sure it is, as long as you're good at launching. Seeing as how this is your first car I'm guessing you aren't very experienced with launching, so it'll take lots of practice.

They good for different things auto is better for dragging and manual is better for highway pulls. I wanna no if borla true duel exhaust, borla headers, and a cai could bring the car from a 13.9 to a 13.6 and trap at about 103 or 104.

When I ran a 13.9@99.5 at Atco NJ. My Z was bone stock. With better traction,13.8 is possible. My friend has a 350Z 6spd(CAI,exhaust,testpipes,pulleys,and 19s wheels)highway roll we were even. With just the Injen. So I'm probably trapping 101 in the 1/4.
