greetings!
Hi everyone im Jamie and im a noob, me and my fiancee' just got our 350z today, it is a silver touring model with the bose stereo and leather interior. Not quite sure what every option on the vehicle is right now since I only got to see it for about 15 minutes after we purchased the car. I was at work so I was not present for the purchase at the dealer. I myself drive a heavily modded 3rd gen rx7, but I do love these Z cars, just shows that im not biased. Anyways, i just wanted to drop a few lines, you should be seeing me around often. If you all have any pointers that would be great...

We live in Panama city Fl. We just got back from having dinner at Outback and went cruising around in the 350z for about an hour, what a suprisingly comfortable ride. Oh, and the heated seats are a godsend after a 14oz strip steak. I really like all the creature comforts that this car has to offer, I definitely dont have heated seats in my Rx7. But, I drew the line between comfort or performance about $25000 ago. I also know now that I will be doing an HID kit on my 7 in the future. The headlight setup on these cars are beautiful, I am also looking to see if I can locate where to purchase the clear L.E.D. turn signals and lenses for the front bumper. I was also wondering, does the 350 beep if someone is behind you while your in reverse? And, what exactly is the VDC, and is the traction control basically a new version of nissan's HICAS system? Thanks everyone for your help and I will try to have some pics of mine and the fiancees car up soon....so long for now....

Kingtut and amf813, I believe we will be going to the Destin Commons on Sun. If you like gimme a shout and we could meet up. If so, I will bring the 7 and the Z! Otherwise, we are going to just take the Z out for a spin out that way and do some shopping. So hit me up sometime soon and we can arrange things... Jamie

Q: I was also wondering, does the 350 beep if someone is behind you while your in reverse?
A: Nope.
Q: And, what exactly is the VDC, and is the traction control basically a new version of nissan's HICAS system?
A: "VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) The quicker you go, the quicker you can get into trouble. Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) can detect if the car is "oversteered" or "understeered," and it responds immediately by redirecting engine power and brake pressure to specific wheels"
The throttle of these things is drive by wire. By measuring the driver's inputs to the trottle, brakes, and transmission a series of computers does it's best to keep you on the road. There is electronic brake control (EBD) too along with the normal ABS system. My dealer adviced me to keep the VDC on at all times, I reasoned that if there was an on/off button in needed to go off at times
