Default After many attempts, new gas tank on the way.

After a few attempts at having my gas tank the dealer finally said I have a broken pressure valve and will need a new gas tank.
At first they would give me a how to fill the tank spew, they finally took it out and did a pressure test, only to find that the valve that moves under pressure did not move. Now a new tank is on the way which might take 3 to 4 days. A sigh of relief. Dealer was Browns Arlington Nissan which will do the job.

I wonder how the tech felt teaching you how to fill up the gas tank, only to find out that it's really broken.

Funny you mentioned it, he actually looked embarassed because I approached him when he was speaking to the service advisor and his face looked pale. His answer was "Oh I really guess that was a problem and you must be frustrated?" My response was "No, I'm only frustrated that you guys brush things off when I make a complaint as if I have no idea how a car operates."

Default What were your symotoms??

I've had my Roadster for 2 weeks and have had difficulty filling the tank. Initially, the pump keeps shutting off then it starts pumping OK. May shut again before it's filled. I've never had this situation with any other car. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Take it to your dealer and have them pressure test it to see if the valve moves when they build pressure. If it is under warranty, they have to check it out. Just be sure to have 1/4 tank or less when you bring it in so they are able to remove it.
