0-60: how best to do it?
Hi
I am happily driving around in my 04 Touring roadster, 6-speed manual. I don't press it very hard - mostly city driving. But I am curious: should I want to see what "it can do" in going from 0 to 60 as fast as reasonably possible, at which points (either rpm or mph) should I shift? What do you recommend?
Thanks!

I usually do it like this: Shift into 1st, 3rd, 5th, then go back to 2nd, hit 5th again, then go for 6th. Stay in 6th until you see the yellow sign, shift down to 3rd, roll down the window, then then jump out. I'm not a very good driver, though.

Well, I was looking for a serious answer (e.g. am I better off shifting at 4 or 5 thousand rpms? Should I hit 60 while I'm in third or fourth gear, etc etc.) but maybe this isn't the right board for that. Anyone else want to give it a try?
Thanks.
Thanks.
