you can hold so low on the shifter. i love how this feels. the trany comunicats much better to me this way and the throw is very short. does any one have any ideas how to lower the plastic concel so that you can hold the shifter down low.

I actually mis-shifted in my car a few times, and I attributed the mistakes to the incredibly heavy and too long stock shifter. I spent $50 on the Nismo Black anodized aluminun shifter and it was one of the best mods I've done. I haven't mis-shifted since. The shift feel is so much nicer with a smaller, lightweight shift ****.

Get a NISMO shifter ****, it's shorter and therefor lower. They also recommend you saw off part of the stick for better fitment but I managed without doing that.

WHAT??? There is a taper about half way up the shaft, and the end is threaded. If you saw off the end of the shaft, how would you attach a shift ****? Never heard of that one....Guess I'm just too chicken for something like that.

I am with you Kelly, I haven't hear/would do/or have the brass ones to saw off the top of my shaft (hahaha for those who are laughing, and Kelly cannot watch )

But the NISMO is such much better, I do not think I would want a short shifter, the NISMO seems just about perfect.
