1500-2000 is more than enough for the break in period. Sucks to hear that you have to go through that. If it makes you feel better, my girlfriend just found out today she is going to get a brand new engine for her 2002 Altima because of the Cat/oil consumption issue. Good luck

Yes So you did break it in to 2000 miles. It just seemed from what I read you were very hard on your car. But since it was a factory defect it wasnt your fault. Well on the bright side you will end up with a new motor and transmission in the end
