grinding

Default grinding

dammit, today i was on a hill and i was comign to a stop but not really and i tried to hold my position witht he clutch then i wanted to shift to first but forgot to depress the clutch all the way and i heard 2 grinding sounds at my shifter, did i just kill my transmission? please help guys

Doubtful. Just don't make a habit of it

Is it still grinding? If it isn't, its probably OK, but do NOT use your clutch and throttle to hold yourself on a hill unless its only for a split second, use your handbrake and release it as you raise your revs and release your clutch; it should be a similtaneous release. If you use the clutch and throttle to hold youself on a hill, you will burnout your clutch quickly.

Let the person behind you honk, use time enough to get it right and you will save your clutch believe me, and forget about embarassment; get it right!

, usually in higher RPMS when the shifter wont fall into gate as easier/quickly as it does in the lower RMPs.Its ok, (well not OK but not the end of the world). I have done it three time
