I drove the car out this morning and on the right side of the car I hear constant creaking, clicking whenver I go over an uneven part of the road. I have had the Tein flex damper setup for about sept of 04 and this is my first time experiencing any problems like this. I know that this is very broad, but who anyone know what it the problem? Could my suspension be shot? Could something be unaligned with the rods? It was fine the night before. I dropped it at the dealership and await their diagnositic tomorrow? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THank you in advance.
It could be a number of things:
1) A bolt is loose on your suspension. There was actually a TSB for this on the stock suspension, and I've heard of other folks not tightening those same bolts enough on their aftermarket stuff and getting the same clunking sounds.
2) Could be the swaybar bushings. If the rubber bushings get to dry (not enough grease) they can start making a slight clunking sound when they try to twist inside the bushings. (Caused by the bar catching on the rubber, then letting go.)
3) If it's more of a creaking/clicking sound rather than a clunking, it could be the rear axle bearings. There is a TSB for that, too. But that sound only occurs during take-off from a stop, and it most definitely comes from the rear. Doesn't sound like that's what you're describing.

If you determine that it's bushings, checkout Prothane. I installed them on Stillen 3 position sways and have been very pleased w/ the result--just tighter, stiffer and, because the inside surfaces of the bushings are ribbed so as to hold the supplied permalube longer, quieter--no squeaks or clunks.

I'm having it done this Friday. Had to wait a week for the parts to show up at the dealer. But if it is indeed just a loose bolt in his case, that's definitely much easier.
