Angry Is it 2006 yet???

Hmmmm they don't really seem to have a general 350Z forum in here, other than the roadster. So since I could use more input on suspension and lowering mods, guess I will post this in here......

I won't be able to buy my new Z for 12-14 months.

Hopefully it will only be 12 months. OR LESS hehe that'd be cool.

Waiting sucks!!!

I've already come up with mods that will run about 6 grand, not even counting whatever it's going to cost to get it lowered about 3/4" all around. Still doing research on the best way to lower it. I not only want it lowerd for looks but I want better handeling out of it too. I've heard that the Z should not be lowered more than 8/10'ths of an inch or the chamber will be out further than can be adjusted for or something to that effect and the tires will feather. I don't want it lowered more than an inch anyway, so 8/10ths should work out perfect.

Also I haven't decided on what exhaust system to go with yet either. Borla or Stillen or ????? Kinda leaning towards Borla because I have heard what it sounds like and it seems to be the best deal, price wise. I definatly want to hear what others sound like first though.

I already know what rear spoiiler and wheels/tires I'm going with.

Well not 100% sure about the exact tires, but the wheels I do know will be silver Axis Hiro's 19x8.5 in the front and 19x10.5's in the rear.

Tires will be 295/30 rear and either a 255/35 front or maybe a 245/35 front.

Think I will end up going with a 245/35 front because a 255/35 will give me the exact same overall diameter as the 295/30 and I actually want the front tire to be a tiny bit smaller OD to allow for rear tire wear, since you obviously can't rotate the front and rear tires.

I dunno, one would think that having both front and rear the EXACT same overall diameter would be a good thing but to me after a couple thousand miles or so, having the rears wear down then being a smaller diameter than the fronts is just wierd.

Another option might be to use a 305/30 in the rear and use the 255 in front but there might be rubbing issues and not only that the 305's jump up in price by about $100 each. No thanks.

I'm just typing all this stuff to make these 12 months or so go by faster LOL.

Is it 2006 yet????

How about now??

This would be why we have a section entitled (so cleverly I might add): Z Coupe.

Moved.
