Default 39778 Miles + Stock tires =.......

Hey guys, just to show you guys what it looks like when you have 39778 miles, and still driving in stock tires. My driving habits were commuting 70 miles 5 days a week. Never raced, just regular driving. Did not take it to dealer for tire feathering. Lease ends in sept 05.

Ummmm defintely got every penny's worth for that rubber. If the tires had money they would give you some to buy new ones.

Damn guy, i'm glad you didn't race anyone. One bad move and KaaaBoooooM !!!!!!!!! (that's your tires exploding). You're lucky they don't have animal control for cars I would have to report you for abuse.

wearing just on the inside portion of the tires can be linked not only to feathering. looks like normal wear with a setting of negative camber. my guess its roughly -1 to -1.3....

Just rotate the fronts and you could get another 25k easy.

Jeez! down to the belts.

What's funny is that there's no sign of feathering b/c there are no tread blocks left!

a lease says you have to return the car with normal maintenance, and those tires do not qualify. you will need to replace them anyhow.

You guys should see my tires. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it.

My back rears looked like your fronts except they wore down to the steel belt.

A guy had to wave to me and pull me over because he was seeing sparks comming out from the steel belts on the back tires.

I think any tire with 40k miles and any negative camber is going to look like that. It's not a case of feathering or premature tire wear. It's normal tire wear.
