yo. screw all the dress up crap. dont mess with the headers...stock ones work great...do a hks supercharger rotrex kit and get it installed beautifully....come out way ahead. short shifter...for what...gear box feels great....put some fat tires on the back if you are going to grab more power...plan on a new clutch as well....

Its gonna cost you a hell of a lot more than 7k for apsTT with tuning and a safe and solid motor! i think you should reevaluate your costs a lil more closely.

lane myers, ditto.

I would do handling (braking, suspension, etc.) and F/I-friendly N/A mods while you are saving up for a turbo kit.

F/I-friendly N/A mods while you are saving up for a turbo kit.

The F/I-friendly N/A mods category?

Changing the stock cats to either high-flow cats or test pipes, I would go with non-resonated test pipes as long as you can deal with the rasp until you go F/I. Upgrade the exhaust, get something the flows well, like 2.5 to 3.0" piping. I would get one that has the least amount of bends. KJR Performance crankshaft pulley. Active Tuning 4-wire grounding kit. Short shifter, i'd go with Topspeed, doesn't seem like there will be much of a difference between them, most of them increase a shorter throw by 25%+. Intake plenum [or plenum spacer], this depends on what power you want and what kit you are going with, or you may want to consider an intake manifold. Cams are a good source for more power, i'd recommend some, but this depends on your power level as well and what your goals for the powerband are.

Another thing you may want to consider, is a Moroso fuel cool can. I'm going to do some testing with this as soon as I get the 350Z and will post results and parts needed and etc. It should increase horsepower though. I'm going to use a Moroso battery case and mount a battery behind the driver seat and get a racing battery for that and take the stock battery out of the Z. I'm going to mount the fuel cool can in the engine bay where the battery was and run the stock fuel lines to the cool can and then run the fuel lines to the fuel rails. I'm still considering where to mount it though, I may mount it directly behind the fuel rails so it is as cool as it will get. Plus by mounting the battery towards the rear it will help with weight distrubtion, even if only slightly.

You should consider the JWT clutch/lightened flywheel=one the best mods.

Hey Niss, sounds interesting with the fuel cooler/battery mod. Can you point me to Active Tuning 4-wire grounding kit...looking for a decent silver grounding kit.
