finally , i decided to find out what advantages does this powerband give the Z apossed to other cars which have a more of a spike in power in there powerband giving the impression of tq and speed when driving. Well i took my friend with his slp editon camaro and we did some runs to find out why it doesnt feel like tq is so evenally distributed around the Zs powerband, unlike his car which even though in a completly diff catagory, has a huge spike at around 4K and drops off . Well i ran him on the high way and what i noticed ever time is that the Zs top end is incredible for the hp that it comes with. I have surpassed many of my expectations of what this car can do at top speeds , the power made linear gives this car great pull all the way up to where the rev limiter took me which was 160mph. And honeslty the car spedometer was still rising as if , if the rev limiter wasnt there it could do more. all in all my friends 400rwhp couldnt touch me up top for nothing even with extended gears at 100 it was murder for him and 1 i believe domestics dont have good top ends. But overall i was impressed on how the Z can spread power throught the band to reach its peak. Thus the linear powerband is a blessing when racing evos stis from a roll.

Don't let that lull you into a false sense of security. I used to own a Mach 1, and would easily pull a 350Z on a highway run to 120+. A SLP Camaro would murder a Z in a straight line at highway speeds.

i didnt beat the camaro from a dig that was straight murder, its not a false sense of security also i just realized that the powerband given to the z is so flat because it pretty much gives and spread tq and power throught the powerband, and at the Zs topend its apparant . The slp ss, would smoke me , but you must realize that his governor is at 130 , his car wont go past that, and i have taken the Z to exactly 159 before fuel cut off, but if you watch its porgression to 159 it looks like besides the governor kicking in, and the gear it seems like it can do more.
